Welcome. My name is Jonathan David Poulos. I currently live in Moscow, Idaho and have lived here for the past 4 years. I grew up and lived most of my life in Wisconsin prior to my move west.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Stout in 1996 with my BS degree in Construction. After graduation I went to work in the construction industry for a number of years before deciding to go back to school. In 2003, I enrolled at the University of Idaho and have since completed a second BS degree (this one in Technology Education) and a Masters of Education degree in Professional- Technical and Technology Education.
While attending the University of Wisconsin- Stout, I worked for Jeff Names Construction (a remodeling contractor near Milwaukee, Wisconsin). After graduation I moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois where I worked for about a year as a carpenter with OS Builders. For the past 10 years I have owned my own residential construction company; Poulos Construction.
There are a number of ways that I enjoy spending my free time. I have always loved to go camping and hiking. I love the outdoors and since I moved to Moscow I have learned how to fly fish. I have also taken time to hike a number of trails in the Pacific Northwest and I never go without my photography equipment. This past year I got back in my hockey skates and managed to tear up the ice…as well as my shoulder. I can’t believe it took me so long to get back on the ice. What a great way to spend the winter months! |
